MMCS provides a mind, body, art integrated curriculum that fosters the emotional, intellectual, and social capacities of children. Our rhythm of the day includes storytelling, movement, music, art, gardening and knitting, integrated with core academic skills. Active family involvement, as a key component of the MMCS charter, results in the children’s deep sense of belonging to community and general well-being.

Mountain Mahogany Community School is a free public school and admission is by open lottery. MMCS is striving to be a learning community that is rich in racial, cultural, ethnic, class, lifestyle and learning diversity. To this end, we invite all to join our thinking-out-of-the-box school. Our parent orientation classes are designed to bring more clarity to prospective families about our mission and goals.
