Mountain Mahogany Community School opened its doors in 2005 as a public charter school and is growing to meet the community demand for Kindergarten through grade 8.

Our beautiful campus is centrally located at 5014 4th Street, NW, in Albuquerque's North Valley, between Griegos and Montano roads.

MMCS facilities consist of 7 classroom buildings, a separate library and a school office, all circling a large round grass commons area, where numerous trees have been planted as future natural sources for shade. The commons area serves as a gathering place for community and enrichment events, and is utilized by teachers and staff for daily learning activities.

The 3.2 acre campus also offers two playground areas with safe play equipment and sufficient shade structures, as well as a soccer field with lush green grass. Organic gardens and a fruit orchard provide MMCS children a unique life and educational experience, where natural food growing processes are proudly monitored by our young gardeners.

Our community consists of families from throughout greater Albuquerque and Rio Rancho, as well as Los Lunas, Placitas, the East Mountains, Tijeras and Edgewood.
